“Ayigya Works!” is a project aimed at strengthening local trade by enhancing the market area at the heart of Ayigya. Its vision is to improve living conditions through a vibrant, sustainable, and flourishing working environment. The focus lies on supporting existing businessesmarket vendors, street sellers, and those around the bus station, by building on current strengths. This is achieved through small, affordable, bottom-up interventions.
The initiative was co-founded with Immanuel Sirron Kakpor and developed in collaboration with the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design, the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (Erasmus University Rotterdam), and KNUST in Kumasi, Ghana.
